DENNIS CHEKENIAN

Dennis Chekenian
Dennis is a writer, director, and producer with a focus on general ideas prior to diving into the details. His personal work has been recognized by The Berlin Indie Film Festival, while his documentary works have been acknowledged by The Dark History and Horror Con's Screaming Mad Film Festival.

Most recently, Dennis has started production on the short film "The Menacing," and has also worked at the graduate level in the Teaching Fellows and Teaching Assistants positions while at The New School/Parsons. During that time Dennis worked under the direction of notable course instructors who specialize in film, television, digital video production and post production. Some of Dennis's responsibilities included leading discussion sections, delivering lectures, assisting with classroom management and helping to design the syllabus when considering course content.

Dennis is a proud alumnus of The New School/Parsons School of Design, Rutgers University, earning his Master's in Media Studies and his Bachelor's in Communications with a Minor in Film Studies, as a University scholar and Summa Cum Laude.
